I hope you’re all doing well.
Things at Sissy Site HQ has been really quiet lately. With Pride Month officially over and with all the new products that I’ve invested in, sales are practically non existent.

And it doesn’t help when I see all these successful small businesses on Tiktok flaunting their wares and telling us how much they’ve sold and how wonderful they are.
I know I shouldn’t compare myself with these people (and I’m sure we all do that in one way or another, which we mustn’t do as we are all unique) and I’m genuinely very pleased that they are doing so well, so no bad vibes towards them as we all want the small businesses to be strong and profitable.
So what am I doing that’s wrong?
I did have an eureka moment the other night on the tube after work when I was rather blathered from intoxication and mentioned this ‘ah ha’ light bulb to my friend Liz. So this week, I shall be putting on my pink, silky thinking cap, grab a cup of tea (yes tea and not what you’re thinking of) and compose a business plan.
Right. That’s enough of being a Debbie Downer as I have a busy few weeks ahead of me at home by having to sugar soap and sandpaper my skirting boards and doors ready for them and my ceiling to be painted gold (yes gold).
By now, Liz and my God Son have come and gone, like a whirlwind that she is, leaving me to do the paint work but by going by my DIY skills, it won’t be up to her high standards!
Whilst they were here, we went floor shopping at B&Q and I saw the laminate floor that liked. Liz approved and I bought enough planks for my lounge and hall. It came to just over £500.
Yikes! My poor credit card.
We’ve also decided that as the gold paint (which should be for metal and not wood) is too thick and oily to use on the ceiling. So we came up with the idea of matching the paint to the wallpaper and mix splodges of burgundy, darker reds and gold on the ceiling to create a shabby chic look.
This will match my theatrical, frou frou tassled curtains that I’ve ordered online!
Then, when my lounge is done, the next major project will be my craft room / office so that I can gather all my bits and bobs that are scattered all over the house and put them in some sort of order in their new home.
This room should be easy to decorate as I just need new flooring, the lining paper to go up and then all the walls and ceiling to be painted white.
If there are any local handy men in the East London area whose proud to show off their hefty tool belt for me and will charge me mates rates (or friends with benefits rates) please let me know.
I’m also thinking of (when most of my house is decorated) is to invite some people over for have an afternoon tea and shopping experience where you can buy some lingerie in private. Let me know what you think.
By now, as for some reason that it’s taking me ages to write and post this blog, I have gold woodwork, a painted shabby chic ceiling in swishes of deep red and burgandy that matches my wallpaper and a gold front door!
So all that’s left is for the rest of the laminate flooring to go down, my curtains to go up and yes, I’m adding a diamanté chain around my skirting boards for more sparkle in my life!
When this is finished and I want to see the horror on my friend Louise’s face when she visits in two weeks time, I will add the pictures on here. She did visit and not much horror. Well done for hiding it!
Talking about social media, for all my followers, thank you for the likes, follows and shares. I’ve been putting out new posts, practically on a daily basis, hoping that this will draw in new viewers.
I’ve even created a Tiktok account for Kinky Klobber, including a QR code for the website as well. If you’re on there, please follow.
I have been rather naughty (or clever) and have logged on to my Kinky Klobber account and keep flicking through my Sissy Site account, boosting the hits, liking my own pics and engaging in a conversation with myself so that the views grow and my pics and videos are promoted to the next level.
I’m really excited as to watch direction I should be going on there. Thanks to a big chat with Liz. What would I do without you?
In one week, I’ve managed to have 50 followers on there, so obviously that’s the way to go.
As we’re now in August and those hot summer days are here, don’t forget to add your Pride gear to your shopping basket, ready for you to stand out and be proud at your summer festivals and celebrations.
